Well this is probably an uninteresting news, but at last Iberia has “awarded” my city´s airport with a new destination……from june daily flights to Paris, Valencia and Sevilla. All of them using CRJs. I am thinking about visiting Le Bourget……ANYONE KNOWS how to get From Orly?. I insert the first CRJ which landed over here, last week as test flight for new destinations in june.

Don´t worry Ren. The nicest airport in Spain….does anyone guess?….Bilbao….ultra modern to keep them quiet. And in fact one of the most dangerous in Spain….with La Coruña, Pamplona, Granada, Melilla, Vigo, San Sebastian, Mahon, Tenerife North…..not nice conditions.

REALLY?…..I do appreciate the information. There are usually regular Crossair (MD83, AVRO and EMBRAER) flights to Santiago, due to the inmense Spanish community living in Switzerland. But I suppose this will be the first time for a Swiss Sun flight….thanks, I´ll write it in my PDA to be with my camara ready at the runway

Thanks for clearing that up Keltic. Zaragoza just seemed an unlikely destination from Frankfurt.

The Final? you mean the big cup?
Why would I want to go to Old Trafford when it was held just a mile up Battlefield Road from my place last season?
It’s funny how, in George Square after the final, the most popular song seemed to be ‘Ar-gen-tina, Ar-gen-tina’…
But if you mean the UEFA Final, well, I’m in Basel at the moment, and my only (cheap (as in, less than a thousand €) option for getting to SVQ is AF via ORY. Well, we’ll see if I’ve got the money or not… 🙁

Ren ,
Malaga is a quite nice airport though rather small.
In summer season a lot of charters fly there , so you might have a lot to spot.

Looking forward to seeing what traffic arrives at Seville for the Uefa final. I’ll be posting snaps of whatever looks interesting after I get back. Although from what I hear Seville is going to be so busy we may have to fly to Malaga instead. Suppose it may have more to see though.
Any of the Champions League final MAN attenders planning to take and post some pics on here ?
And Bhoy, I could have saved you a beach ball from Ibrox the other day, unfortunately the ground staff forked them all at the end !

did someone mention Seville? the alcoholic haze that has surrounded me for the last week or so has about lifted now…
funny thing is, I’ve got images of beachballs at Ibrox in mind…
can’t imagine where they came from, or why I was wearing a Sombrero when I staggered back in from the pub on Sunday afternoon? 😉

Related to aviation in Spain, I noticed that there is a flight from Zaragoza to Frankfurt, is this a lucrative service?
LHR is much more popular, in fact the most profitable international destination from here. A daily A320 to LHR from my tiny city and good occupancy all the time. The reason for the ZAZ (Zaragoza)-FRA route is due that the presence of a german car manufacturer in Zaragoza.

Lookin like Glasgow-Seville is shaping up to be my first flight report on here. Going at the end of May for the Uefa cup final methinks on a special charter from Glasgow.
Think I’ll try and get hold of a digital camera for the occasion.

Good for your city then Keltic! And good to see the airline opening up more routes too.
Nice pic also mate. I like the CRJ, a saw one in the Iberia/Air nostrum livery up at LGW the last time I went… very sleak!
