Just after a repaint into Icelandair colours, TF-NPK or “Páll Sveinsson” is being towed. Ownership is being transferred from Landgraedslan to the “Friends of the DC-3” organization of Iceland. This happened at on June 28, 2005. TF-NPK is also painted up to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the first international passenger flight by Icelandair predecessor, Flugfélag Íslands, which operated a PBY-5 Catalina, registered TF-ISP to Largs Bay, Scotland, July 11, 1945

I saw the Icelandair DC-3 perform at Duxford yesterday, absolutely superb, no joke, one of my favourite displays, definitely threw it about alot more than the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight DC-3, it was excellant. Not looking too bad either

Due into Glasgow on the 11th it expected to be there for the arrival of the scheduled Icelandair 757, for a photo call, if possible atc will try and get the aircraft to taxi past the mound (past the Logan air Hanagar) this depends on the runway in use and the amount of traffic
Unfortunatley Im working (sod law)

I love the DC3, an aircraft I’d love to fly on, and looks great in those colours.
I have a old (in both senses) friend who used to be cabin crew on DC3’s. I definately missed my era.
