Id of Aircraft/Airline Request

I was wondering if anyone could identify the aircraft which I think is a DC6 and the airline if possible to the right of the C-124?
Thanks

all the Springbok 7s were in this colour-scheme, have a feeling only one graduated to the orange tail when they got B707

Looks to me like a South Afican Airways DC 7B

This one doesn’t have a radar though

Errmm…..

Not sure about it being an SAA aircraft – I thought their tail scheme was orange fin, blue flash outlined in white with a blue springbok outlined in white towards the top centre – BUT… those flickr pics appear pretty conclusive!

Thanks Garry, that would certainly fit. I forgot to mention the location. The picture was taken by my Dad at Kano Airport in Northern Nigeria. The C-124 was refuelling on its way to the Congo during the trouble down there in the late 50s or early 60s.
