Here you are Cees I hope the pics are OK enough to gave the parts an ID!! Parts are coming from Halifax JD215(419 Sqdn) shotdown 29th June 1943 over Waalre(Holland). My guess is a escapehatch(where was this one installed?) and a instrument panel or part of an instrument panel and again where was this panel installed?) but need to confirm this. Any help out there??
Regards and Many Thanks for all the help,
Adrian

Went to the site with help of former witnesses and start to search the site. Found first some small parts(small pieces of aluminum, .303 exploded bullets, window glass and some with frames(probably from the rearturret). The parts on the pics we found all together in a socalled dump pit probably dug by the Germans or landowner of that time. The reason that the parts are well preserved is that we found the parts less than a few metres from a small river bank. Nope no pics from the recovery I am afraid. Forgot the camera.
Cheers,
Adrian

The parts are well preserved Adrian. Can you tell us more about how the Halifax was found and excavated? Any pics of the recovery at all?
