You’re not wrong.

I may be wrong here (I often am), but when AJD Engineering built the Hurricane replica for the Portuguese Air Force Museum, the trade was two Harvards (a Mk.IV and a Mk.III). One of which later become Peter Monk’s G-BUKY and the other ELMH. I remember seeing Peter’s prior to restoration being started, but cant remember anything about the MK.III. Will take a look, but I cant promise what I will find. I’ve so much Harvard material around the house, I’m not really sure what I do have.
Best wishes,
Martin

I’d be very grateful if you could find the Portuguese pic, or indeed any others of her.
Many Thanks

Think somewhere at home have photos of her in Portuguese markings. Know that have some (somewhere) of TSIX. Will take a look up in the loft at the weekend.

I’ll have a look at home and see if I have any of ‘ZLE in ’94.
Have you seen G-ISDN (I think it is) where the US ARMY titles under the wing are actually written in mirror?

You may well be right for 1994, all I was going on is that today G-ILLE wears that scheme and is coded 379 and G-AZLE is yellow coded 102.

I thought the Stearman as G-AZLE myself…

The Stearman looks like G-ILLE
Wonderful looking Harvard there as well, any more of it?

ID Please
Arm Waver. OK Thanks for the ID. Much appreciated, all of you.

It is the Robert Simpson Stearman. I’ve got a series of photos of it at home, taken at a Fly-In at The Squadron which it attended.

Mally – I can assure you it is a Stearman… I have a side on view at home of the same aircraft and it booked in as a Stearman at Finmere that day. I think the roll cage, wing tips and the angle confuse the normal lines of a Stearman…

The prop on the Spitfire proto replica is still a bit out of shape from the incident on the 9 June 1994. 🙁
