ID the Submarine

Yesterday (10 Sep2005) I was fishing off the coast of Denmark when I spotted this submarine. Can anyone ID which class/type is this?

Axctually I think you are looking at the ORP Orzel the Polish Kilo, she was scheduled to go out on NATO training excercises this month.

I think you are correct because I saw white-skinned people in the conning tower when it was quiet close.

My 2 cents:
Some photos in www.bharat-rakshak.com show that the Indian Kilo’s have painted white pennant numbers on their sails. Does someone khow if the Indian Navy still continues to paint the pennant number or did they stoped doing it.

Because if the Indian Navy is still painting the pennant number in white on the sail than this sub in question would be the Polish Kilo or a Russian one.

I take that back its a Kilo class on the way to refit, based on where the wind turbines are, I take that to be the DK side near CPH.

I used to live on the other side in SE, in Malmo.

Yes, close to the DK; Nordhavn to be precise. Of all the subs, I never expected it to be an Indian KILO in Danish waters and that too close to a Pakistani who was busy trying to catch the Big One 😀
