Glider i/d

Don’t know about the delta glider but the Raynham glider in Hesham’s link looks like the prototype for the Angel Of The North:D

Apparantly in Aeroplane Monthly Vol 7 number 9 page 493 is a picture of the Phi-Phi but I am unable to access my copy at the moment to have a look. Does any have it close at hand.

Nearest guess is the Airdisco Phi-Phi ( I’m not making this up!), crashed flying at the Itford meeting in 1922. Some similarity in side view, but not a delta..as G-ASEA points out there are bracing wires from nose to wingtips which could be mistaken for a delta in a plan view drawing. Otherwise, drawn a blank.

Thank you Slicer,

but I think it was not Airdisco,please see;

Where did you find the three view, hesham? That might help to point someone in the right direction.

Not an early mini-Gigante? (Or do I expose my hardware ignorance?).

It looks a bit like one of the gliders used in the Itford gilder compertion in 1922. But none of those had a delta wing. One did have drag wires from the wing to the nose, Which could be mistaken for the wing.
