ID This Helmet ?

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone could ID this helmet? It’s a cloth helmet with a throat mike, green in colour and laces up all along the top and the only markings are inside which is a white square patch with the number 58 over 04. I been told it’s possibly Luftwaffe but I have no idea if it is. Any help in identifying the helmet would be much appreciated.

Quite strange. :confused:
The leather parts look like Luftwaffe, the microphones and plug are defenitely not. 58 would possibly mean 58cm.
The Russians, Finns and Italiens copied the Luftwaffe stile and used also throat microphones but could be from another country as well.

looks distinctly russian to me…..but then you have ointed out that it has western numerals……and of course, I know bugger all about flying helmets.
