Just a thought could OGB mean Opperman Great Britian.
http://www.gracesguide.co.uk/S._E._Opperman
1939 Opperman Ltd. (S. E.), North Circular Road, Stonebridge Park, London, N.W.10. has been engaged for many years cutting gears, making beaching gear, bomb-winches, anchor-winches, motor flap-control gearboxes, and main flap-actuation gear for the Aircraft Industry. The latest product of the firm was the 60 h.p. Walter Mikron motor, built under licence, for which the selling agents were Chrislea Aircraft Ltd., of Heston Airport.

Yes, the 57 in this case is not related to the aircraft type i’m afraid. If you clean the part up a bit more maybe the first letter would be clearer?
It’s definitely an “O”.
Cheers,
Adrian

It is an Inspection stamp. The number is the identifier of a specific inspector.
It could be from Oddie, Bradbury and Cull Ltd, Southampton, who did all classes of sub-contract work, both metal and wood.
A full variety of parts and components were manufactured in its machine shop.
Many,Many Thanks for your information. Does this mean that “57” number have nothing to do with a type of aircraft?? Amazing
that we found a piece with 57 although.
Cheers and Many Thanks again,
Adrian
