Idea for a new forum

I wonder what other members and the powers that be would think of an obituary forum?

By that I mean purely to offer marks of respect and sympathy, no debating the whys and wherefores of their passing.
Also If a member passes away we could also include that as well.

Just a thought as this forum is worldwide and read by many and captured by the Google Bot. It might offer some comfort to any bereaved who might come across it.

What a shame Moggy, Historical, modern, GD etc, any clues as to why it faded away.
I would love to meet many of the guys on the Forum, we all have a good laugh, and share one thing in common.
What would you suggest, as making this viable again?.

In days gone by, meetings of the Historic forum members were frequent.

Somehow that has lapsed

Gary, You and I have met up.
I recon, that we should have a get together at a specific place, for a good old natter, a Pint, even if it’s only once.
That way, we could put a face to each other.

KEY, What can you organise?.

Strange to think that you can make comradeships online in a virtual world but there is a line drawn between that and real world friendships. It does make you wonder how many forum members have slipped away without people realising.Look at some of the vintage threads and see how many names have gone missing.
I think it would be a nice idea if an obituary could be posted

I think it’s a good idea Paul, the only drawback, is that my wife has her Comp, and I mine. Both Password protected, so for one, my wife would be unable to put the info on.

IF for some reason, I didn’t post on here for, say one month, (Bloody unlikely), then I wouldn’t mind giving my home phone number, to call my wife and ask.I am sure the Mods would be able to keep a phone log of us all, should the worst happen.I for one don’t mind giving my home phone number to some of my “Friends” here on the forum.
Jim, (Not quite ready yet to pop my clogs)
