Identify the Centere fuselage sling

It’s British and I think it arrived with the Hunter/Strikemaster spares or the Lightning project about ten or twelve years ago. There were also a couple of Sea Hawk parts in there as well so it could be part of that stuff as well.

26DK95021 is written on the crate but it isn’t on the part.

26DK is Lightning, according to my RAF Stores Sections list.

It says Centre Fuselage Sling so, presumably, that is what it is for – slinging a Lightning centre fuselage.

Thanks Anon, I assumed that was the answer. Glad to have it confirmed though! It sure would have been nice to know we had this when we assembled the Lightning the first time!
