Can anyone identify what type of aircraft this fuel gauge might have come from?
Here’s what I know about it. British, wartime, marked;
FUEL GALLONS TANK No2 CAPACITY 331 GALLS
and
TANK DRG 5295600 5295601
D10247/A No 419344
Diameter is 85mm. 331 Gallons is quite a large capacity so I’m assuming it’s a large multi-engined bomber (obviously a tail-dragger) or similar?
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Thanks very much for the ID, and interesting that it’s from a Stirling. I’ll pass the info on to the owner.

I have one of those almost exactly the same (From memory) which is in ‘as new’ condition.

It’s a Simmonds gauge, No. 2 tank, from a Stirling.
