IDF F-16 at Red Flag this Summer.

Found this photo at the Nellis AFB site where an IDF Viper is carrying a device on center station.

It looks like a Mk.84 2000lb bomb but the nose cone is different so it could be an inert sample. Just wondering if center station is used more often by IDF for carrying armament. Never seen other Viper users carrying a mk.84 on that station. Also the color of this ‘mk.84’ is different than the samples I have seen before.

What does the guy in the backseat do on Israeli Falcons btw? A some sort of RIO?
