On a recent trip to Cyprus in June I witnessed two mock dogfights between IDF fighters and F-16s of the TuAF. In one case an IDF fighter pursued three TuAF F-16s over southern Cyprus and appeared to break off over northern Cyprus. Is this part of a combined NATO drill between the IDF, TuAF and the Brits, or some other kind of encounter?
