Please do me a favour and take a moment to raise a glass (of Beer of course) to the memory of my brother Neil and of course Bill. It is hard to believe the Firefly accident was 3 years ago. Most importantly, have a great time there. I know that it was Neil’s favourite airshow and he was always excited to attend the show (both as crew and as a spectator). Here’s to good weather and safe flying.
Thanks.

I will of course raise a glass to Neil and Bill, I always remember them and Hoof Proudfoot on this weekend.
“Hoof’s” was the first accident i sadly witnessed and i hope and pray Neil and Bill are the last 2 Flyer’s i have seen lose there lives.

Unfortunatley I was only yards away from the crash and it affected me quite badly, I offer you the greatest sympathy, but every year, flowers are put on the little tree next to the site, I hope they are today, they deserve to be remembered.

Also spare a thought for Hoof Proudfoot who lost his life 10 years ago.
Was it really that long ago? It certainly doesn’t seem like it, as they say a lot of water’s flowed under the bridge since then. A glass of something will be raised tonight in fond memory af all the display pilots we’ve lost over the years. The first Airshow crash I remember hearing about was the deH110 at Farnborough so I’ll raise a glass to her crew and all the ones we’ve lost since.

Paul,
I’ll be at Legends today. I will raise a glass but it will have to be soda as I’ve taken a hayfever tablet and don’t want to miss any of the show because I’m a jabbering wreck.
Here’s to the brave!
Regards to your family and friends on this day,
Paul
