All the above, plus burgers at a price you can afford and probably a huge overdraft 😉

There were only ever 2 types of burgers, Mildenhall, washed down with a Bud and the North Weald Fly In, at the club.
The thing I most miss about Mildenhall is the Polish sausage for breakfast.

I would just be happy to see the two Air Atlantique DC-6’s in close formation!

The show would have to be opened with a Hurricane Squadron Scramble leading into a Tail-chase, 9 ‘Hurris’ being involved.
As they mosey about, they don’t spot the Schwarm of 4 Me109s above them, who, out of the sun, dive down to massacre the Hurris. Luckily, the 10 High-flying Spitfires (all Marks) have seen the Messerschmitts and a dog-fight ensues. The Hurris land during this, then, as the Spits depart over the horizon, the 109s land….the cue for 5 B-17s to ‘bomb’ the ‘Axis’ airfield. The Yanks are attacked by a flight of 4 FW190s and 3 Me262s, and that’s when the 15 P-51s turn up to protect their charges. Another running battle takes place, as under the chaos shoot a flight of P-47s to strafe the Me109s which have now taken the role of new enemy fighters scrambling to take part in the battle above. As all of these depart, the crowd is left to catch its breath, but soon the drone in the distance catches their ears. They turn to look…..and see the 10 Spits, accompanied by 10 more, escorting a Stirling a Halifax and 2 Wellingtons, closely followed by the BBMF Lanc flanked by ‘Just Jane’ and the CWM Lanc. This Flypast does a number of passes before being ‘bounced’ by Me110s, that are then fought off by the Spits.

They depart and return with all the aforementioned aircraft in one huge Balbo, and also a squadron of Westland Whirlwinds.

Nuff said.

I’d have an exhibition of various planes mated together, particularly from opposing sides. Say a spitfire with an Me-109 entire tail section. A MiG-21 with Sidewinders, Martin bakers, western radar and with USAF markings. An F/A-18 with the latter half of the plane being a MiG-29. A B-2 in Vietnamese markings. A MIG-25 with F-14 like wings. A Eurofighter with not only its own canards but also a Rafale canard thus making a tri-plane. And last but not the least – a nuclear powered Airship with a AWACS type radar and CIWS all around… 🙂

In my little dream world I would ask the tooth fairy to help in organising a two-day airshow comprising as many aircraft types as possible from every aircraft-building nation in the world. I would invite all the Air Forces around the world to send all their aircraft to carry out mass flypasts. I would invite homebuilders everywhere to attend with their creations. It would have to be beside the sea so the Caspian Sea Monsters could take part as well as allowing all the seaplanes and flying boats to attend. And most importantly, the show would open with a Shackleton taking off, and close the next day with the same Shack doing the infamous three-feathered low-level flypast prior to landing.

****Oh, I must have been sleeping. Woken up know. Silly me and my dream. It will never happen. Why?? Because the CAA will not allow a Shack to fly in the UK.

Id love to see a timeline of aviation done at old warden. Start off with the depperdussian and the bleriot, move onto the Avro triplane and the boxkite and move into their ww1 stuff (get that lvg back there and fly her). Then into the glorious inter war moths etc they have and then onto things like the 2 gladiators and hind and maybe the fury there. Then a hurricane flypast with as many hurricanes as they can get there. Would have to be followed by Sally b and the bbmf lanc with some little freinds to represent the american side. Then onto the post war stuff and close the display with a spirited aerobatic display in their Juggman, maybe with the archeopterix flying around. And get the bleriot to do another hop, as we all love to see a 97 years young plane fly.
