Hope this doesn’t sound too morbid, especially on such a lovely summer’s day, but if you suddenly met your maker, would your affairs be in order? Any wrongs you need to right, any records need setting straight, anything you should have said or done but never found the right time? I married comparatively late in life, and for many years happilly led a lifestyle that a widowed Mrs C probably wouldn’t be comfortable knowing about. Nothing illegal or even immoral, I hasten to add. Got some mementos hidden away in the loft, and whilst I wouldn’t like Mrs C to find them when I’ve gone, I’m extremely reluctant to part with those reminders of my personal history. Any thoughts?

I can’t decide between Evanescence’s Bring Me To Life, The Jam’s Going Underground, or Meat Loaf’s Bat out of Hell… :diablo:

i think i’d like pink floyds ” wish you were here ” played at my funeral
works on many levels depending on what you thaught of certain individuals !!
I think I would go for `Coming back to life` 😀

All this week my husband and I’ve been taking turns to visit our friend who’s in the hospice.
It’s obvious that he’s dying, but none of us can mention this, even though we’ve known each other for more than forty years.
It’s so strange, but we’ll keep on visiting for as long as possible.
Guys, get yourselves checked regularly for prostate cancer.

Well, we are at the age when if something isn’t leaking it means it’s dried up.
So, when a fellow olde git, who isn’t 100% ready for the Olympics, goes AWOL, we fear.

Now you see how you are missed…….;):)

Oh, you’re back. Leave us a note when you’re going forum AWOL. We don’t know if you’re logging on from up there, down there or at home!

Nope, and neither would I care!:)
Hopefully I will be run over by a bus by the time I get to hear Knowall Gallaghers’ version of There Is a Light That Never Goes Out!

Interesting point, I had to rewrite my will lately after the divorce and I thought along the same lines. I’m fairly certain (and hope !) that the end is the end, so anything people do find is too late to matter!
I thought about leaving the ex a message (my solicitor had a client who left his ex wife a shovel so she could keep digging…… ) of some kind, but she has my contempt and she knows it. I expect the same goes in return.
I did the mechanics of a will and left my books and die-cast models to Midland and Newark Musuems on a 50/50 split, sorted out a 50/50 split of funds for the kids, a small chunk to NSPCC and RAF benevolent fund, asked for some specific music at my non religious send off, and I am Ok to be judged by those that knew me, how they knew me.

Problem solved:diablo:

No point in regretting, what’s done is done. If the bus hits me, that’s it. There will be no skeletons in the cupboard for the family to deal with.

Then you need to download “The dreams we have as children” by Noel. It was for the Teenage Cancer Trust. The album was a freebie in the Sunday papers so downing it won’t upset the record labels.
That, and many Oasis songs were coverd acoustically and superbly. With guest Paul Weller for a couple of numbers.

I wouldn’t like to think that I hadn’t said certain things – such as telling people how you really feel – but I think most of my affairs would be sorted out.
Mind you, given events over the last 12 months, this topic of discussion is quite poignant…!

One of the finest songs by one of UK’s finest lyricists!
Covered very well by Noel Gallagher too.
And if a double-decker bus
Crashes into us
To die by your side
Is such a heavenly way to die
And if a ten-ton truck
Kills the both of us
To die by your side
Well, the pleasure – the privilege is mine
All my stuff is in order. No skeletons in the loft, all thrown away years ago. Souvinirs yes, photo’s of ex’s, all binned.

abused my body in bike crashes ( and fights )
not settled down , my lifes too precious to waste doing what others want
in a nutshell i’d do every little bit the same
the chance to do it twice would be freekin awesome !!:diablo:
amendment … OK maybe i would have paid more attention to brake servicing shortly before i slammed a stone wall after a downhill accident
bonus ..i missed the bus …. non bonus .. six months on crutches and a permanent gammy leg !!
