Ilyushin Il-18 ER-ICB of Pecotox Air of Chisinau in the Republic of Moldova arrived in Brisbane in the early hours of January 17 from Colombo and Denpasar as flight PXA0510.
Little is known of why the Il-18 has been flown to Brisbane however it is believed that it will start a weekly service between Brisbane and Pohnpei in the Federated States of Micronesia.
It has been many, many years since an Il-18 last visited Australia, so to see one back in our region again is a great start to 2004.

I never heard about this ahhh well good news anyways! Yea Brisbane has had the An 124-100 down here a couple of times!
