I came across a rather interesting photo of this aircraft, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the weapon is being loaded in the photo. It appears to me to be either nuclear bomb of some type or a torpedo of some type. I know that different variants of the Beagle carried both, so could anyone help me identify what the weapon in question is?
I also was wondering if I could get a discussion started about this aircraft. I’ve done a lot of internet searching and it’s really hard to find good information about the aircraft other than the basic facts about it (i.e. first Soviet jet bomber, entered service in 1950, etc.).
It’s not discussed often so I thought it might make for an interesting change of pace on the forum.
