Anyone know if the thrust reverser buckets on an Il-76 could be used independently.
Or rather, could a Candid sitting on a ramp at rest have one bucket open and the other 3 closed ???
The reason I ask is that I am making the Amodel kit of an Il-76 –
http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/models_pages/modl_il-76.html
and the kit has the option of open or closed buckets.
But they are a pain in the bum to make open – so I thought I’d have one nacelle with them open – with the front fan showing.
To save time – and pain – I want to make the other three nacelles with the buckets closed – and red-painted engine blanks in place.
If I do that, will the model police take me away for having a totally unfeasible situation ???? 😮
Is it something that could never be seen in real life ??
I’v looked at loads of photos – and the engine blanks are OK – one off, 3 on – but I haven’t spotted a photo with one reversing bucket open, 3 closed (or even 2 open, 2 closed).
Thanks in anticipation.
Ken
PS – I guess I could risk the wrath of the model police and say to hell with them, it’s my model and I’ll do it it how I want!! :diablo:
