…and they say because of the 20minute turn around sometimes they dont have the time to security search the a/c! and the CAA left an item on and it took the 3 weeks to find it!!!!!!! on our BY a/c we dedicate 25mins to searching the cabin!
One of many reasons that I will never fly Ryanair.
Did the CAA do anything about it?

he he
just strikes me as ironic.
It is!
I’ll post pics at the weekend – going to PIK tomorrow to help clear the site and pick up CKS cockpit on a large car trailer.

Yup! Complete glass cockpit refit. Not us doing it, we’ve sold it on to a professional sim company.
Guess I’ve figured…!

EI-CJE (Jaguar c/s) was finally scrapped this afternoon at PIK. However, we managed to preserve the cockpit and first 5 rows in the cabin – it’s going to be turned into a 737NG simulator “somewhere in London”, travelling down the M6/M42/M40 on Thursday 19th May. EI-CJS and EI-CKS cockpits also preserved, CJS moving to Castle Douglas and CKS to Pershore, Worcs.

No need to be scared they are much more better then the 738, they are very tinny where the 732 are solid beasts, they are nicer to work on, smell abit tho but hay there old birds.
im trained for the 738, i think its a really nice a/c! i know a few of the FR crew that operate upto MME a few times a day (although they arnt based at MME) and they say because of the 20minute turn around sometimes they dont have the time to security search the a/c! and the CAA left an item on and it took the 3 weeks to find it!!!!!!! on our BY a/c we dedicate 25mins to searching the cabin!
thanks for the replys anyway hopefully it wont be too bad!! lol

I also find the 732s very comfortable, EI-CNW that I flew on this feb was extremely well kept inside, Ryanair has also had remarkably few incidents with the 732s, especially considering the amount of flights they do a day, and they are very rarely delayed, remarkable considering the amount of use they have had.
The worse one I flew on was EI-CJE, but that was sound also, just very worn.

Yes, im positioning out there only for a few sectors then back to MME. I hope it isnt a -200 because im quite scared of flying FR as it is without getting on one of those grotty old work horses!! 🙁

I got the Hertz logojet in Feb, and i felt it was one of the most comfortable aircraft i’ve ever flown, beating a number of longhaul aircraft that i’ve flown!

Hi,
make the most of it if the flight is on a -200….FR are supposed to be getting rid of the last examples towards the end of this year. I flew BHX-DUB several times on a -200 and they are quite an awesome aircraft – Those P&W JT8D’s are great old engines!! I never experiened anything on an FR -200 that made me feel unsafe – The machines I flew on were mainly ex Britannia examples and they were surprisingly clean for their age. I hear the ex Lufthansa machines were a bit grubby, but I cannot confirm this as I never flew on one of those.

now now thats not nice! the 200 are legends of the sky 🙂 and wats rong with fr everyone seem to get the humpy head on when the name is mentioned….
from wat ive looked at they dont have a bad saftey record, the only thing i see rong is that they are trying to cut costs down and that is it

I’ll never forget my great flights on the 200 from dublin to beauvaise, I’m sure there probably using the 737/800 on the route now.
By: cabincrew1 - 16th May 2005 at 18:29
i did the stn to gro not so long ago on the 200, they still do a lot of the routes, it will be a sad day when they are all gone.
By: SHAMROCK321 - 16th May 2005 at 18:13
Ye it will most liely be a 200 but you never know. I think you were asking me LBA what European routes the 200s go on and they are still using them on the DUB-AGP run.
By: LBARULES - 16th May 2005 at 18:11
Hey, also flying FR from LBA to DUB soon, is definitly still a -200, 738s have very rarely visited LBA.
By: G-OJET - 16th May 2005 at 17:54
Cabincrew, are they positioning you on FR? Things must be tight! Think I’d be crying help too. 😮
Seriously though, they used to position us at AMM on FR too. Its alright for a laugh 😀
By: LFC24 - 16th May 2005 at 17:09
It’s a 732.
