I'm going on holiday!! woot!

Me and the GF went to Zakinthos last August stayed in Laganas, we were suppose to fly from Man on TCX 757-300, but I took ill at the airport and they would not let my fly. Got sent home after visit to the docs who said I had food poisoning, she told me to rebook and get out there as the sun will do me good(guess I would trust here again)
Rebooked a flight for the following morning with BY.
Anyway 3 days in to the hols took ill again and was told I had Gastroenteritis (think that’s how you spell it). Well no late party nights for me, felt like poo and wanted to go home, managed to fly the TCX 753 home which was very good.
Agree with the airport it was a cow shed with lights, total mayhem, and what made me laugh was we boarded the aircraft and it was still taking on fuel and there was a Greek chap stood at he side if the aircraft with 2 small fire extinguishers in a little trolley, yep that would certainly help if this thing goes up. Also there were some dogs running round the airfield which we had to avoid on taxi.
Other than that place was ok, food was pants but the sea was really warm and the beaches are pretty nice.

I’ve been to Zakynthos, it’s my fave Greek Island I’ve visited. Very beautiful and great for a bit of holiday spotting if you want to! 😉 😀
WARNING THE AIRPORT IS A SHED AND CAN BE A VERY STRESSFUL EXPERIENCE AS SOON AS MORE THAN 2 AIRCRAFT ARRIVE!!

Going to Greece, you lucky devil! I’ve never been that time of year, but I’m sure it will still be warm. I’ll be there this summer from July 24 till August 24.

Yeah, Ben it is (hence the name!), losing your dad at that age must be terrible. Yep, I know now what you went through. Anyway, like said before, enjoy the hols!

I lost my dad when I was 17 (March 1997) he was only 36. I know what you’ll be going through right now.
