A belated welcome to the mad house:D As has been said before lots of give and take, you’ll find people on here friendly and helpful. Even if you consider a question may make you look a little foolish ask it anyway as most of the people on here will take the attitude that if you don’t ask you won’t learn and they won’t try to make you look silly. You only need to see the tolerant and informative answers to some of my inane queries to realise that.

Most posts about preserved / derelict watch towers will appear on Historic Forum. You might like to use the ‘search’ function to read a few of them.
The ‘Control Towers’ site linked to above is an excellent one. In your area East Kirkby has a superb restored version so it will be worthwhile visiting there to get an idea of what they looked like in service. You’ll enjoy the Lancaster there as well.

This is the part of the Forum where we discuss flying smaller aircraft. However you will find that some of us fly airliners, others would like to.
If you think that you’d perhaps like to be a pilot yourself, then stick around here, you might learn something.
