I missed the post that caused you to make an apology, Andrewman, but the sense of the responses suggests that it was caused by references to dyslexia. If somebody was poking fun at you for suffering from this condition, then they probably deserved whatever it was you said. I have a son who suffers from it and although I am sad that he cannot write as I do, I admire greatly his determination to make life work properly for him in spite of this. He can’t write the Queen’s English very well but he can undo with ease the daft things I do to my computer and which leave me drifting helplessly in an electronic disaster area.

Well done Andrewman, both for getting on despite dyslexia and for being man enough to apologise handsomely after being pushed too far.

All the best,

L9172

You’re on, see you in the Summer.

Used to visit Sywell a lot as a child and heard many a tale of Wellington’s (I think) around the airfield from my Grandfather who used to a Policeman in the area in the 30’s, 40’s & 50’s. Not been back for a few years now but intend to soon.

then flagons of ale and years of peace and wonderment will be yours!

T-6’s are wonderful aicraftright up there with the Mustang, Yak 11 and Stearman.

Short Stirlings are ok, so I was told many times by a former flight engineer.

I will visit the Sywell Aviation Museum (and Bruntingthorpe) this year.

Now where do I get the ale?

Havent got a clue what the thread was about but if it has anything to do with Dyslexia as anneorac stated then i sympathise. My sister suffers with it but she is at University and carries on regardless,it’s the person that matters, good luck with whatever the issue is:)

Ok for the first time I’m going to post without runing it through the spell checker first so I’ve got no idea how bad my spelling is going to be.

As I suffer from the same problem I know how hard it can be dealing with peoples attatude towards dislexia. Its not their fault, its just hard to apretiate a problem when you don’t suffer from it. Over the years I’ve just learnt to develop a thick skin but some times a few of the digs get through.

Glad to see you back.

Anne

Doh…What’d I miss???

OK, seriously as someone who’s been in the forum doghouse (just ask Moggy) we all loose our temper from time to time. Being able to put it behind you and move forward shows class and character.

Of course, if your comments last night were about me then forget everything I just said. 😀
