It’s my birthday today and from Mum I received the fantastic new book “Hurricane Tim – The Story of Sir Tim Wallis” by Neville Peat.
This is the biography of the pioneer in both aviation and agriculture, Sir Tim is also this country’s most famous collector of warbirds, and the man behind the world famous Warbirds Over Wanaka.
The book is huge and full of wonderful photos of Tim’s life and work and his collection, as well as a detailed story of his life from birth through to now.
I cannot wait to read it. Even with just a flick through (several times) I can already recommend this book.
And best of all, it’s personally signed by Sir Tim himself. Yey!

Happy birthday Dave, mine was 2 weeks ago and I don’t want to know anymore being such an old git, well how would you feel having seen mosquitoes fly in RAF colours, best bet is get a missus considerably younger than yourself, bit of a problem getting in her horses with the help of a zimmer frame though.
