I think I feel sorry for her. But if SHE felt it would help who are we to criticise? There is nothing rational about praying. That’s the point – it is a purely emotional response based on faith, but if people are helped by it then good luck to them. Using social networking is only the 21st century way of instant communication. I dislike the whole thing but it doesn’t affect me personally.

…is that so irrational?
Are you actually being serious?

In this day and age where the popularity of social-networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter are seen as a primary form of communication, I can understand why she did it and cannot condemn her for doing what she did…she needed help but didnt know who to turn to at what must have been an awfully stressful period of time.

what about facebook….another form of communication,
i suppose if she couldnt do anything to help but strongly believed praying on a social networking website would help her deal with it then how can we judge
after all, do we post our feelings on there even just by updating our status’?

About the praying part, yes.
If the woman was physically unable to assist the paramedics in any way and assuming she was a Christian would you have any criticism of her if she knelt down beside her dying son and prayed to God to save his life?
I don’t know what I’d have done in similar circumstances, probably not used Twitter…
…but then who can say how rationally any of us would have acted.

The vast majority of the population of the Earth would agree that ‘praying’ at that moment would be a good idea.
This woman did all she could to assure that the maximum number of people were praying for her son…
…is that so irrational?

No but ‘Tweeter’ is NOT the way to do it…

Maybe we should reserve judgement until paramedics are working to save the life of one our own children and we ourselves have behaved in a more rational manner.

Maybe crass wilful stupidity should be a crime?

Perhaps ‘Tweeting’ is the only communication she has with ‘Anyone’ ..who knows ? …the more technology we get the more Isolated from other people get … who knows ?….sad rather than shocking !
