Got this e-mail today from the DVLA :
Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency, Swansea. SA6 7JL
Please note,
In order to assist in identifying anyone with a lower than average driving ability, it is now compulsory for them to display a flag comprising a red cross on a white background attached to the top of at least one window.

Does it have to be a red cross on a white back ground ?
wellllllllll….the standard of ….pauses for a while to think of suitable description….’driving’ Ive seen recently with flag bedecked cars, have to say DVLA might on a winner.
Just remember not to wind down the window if you dangle one from your rear passenger window.
Actually, it’d make a change to see some different flags flying, could maybe start a craze here !
