RE: In memory of victims of 9/11.. please all sign!

Whose side are you on Geforce? You sound like a typical Amnesty International do-gooder, they had no thought for the victims of 9/11 either. I know two families who lost loved ones on that date (one a brother, another one a cousin) and I know how they felt about the whole thing. My thoughts will always be with the innocent who suffered on that date, and stillcontinue to suffer every day that they are without their loved ones (one of the families I knew never even had a body to mourn, their brother was simply posted as “missing” and never found or heard from again. To make it all worse for these people they saw the moment their loved ones died replayed over and over again on TV, which was a traumatic experience. The world should never be allowed to forget what happened on 9/11, I certainly never will, and it should never be allowed to happen again.

Well done Scooter!

This started off as a thread for people to remember those lost in the tragedies of September 11th and the board supported it with heartfelt expressions of sympathy. It was an admirable topic to post which was supported admirably….Until you came along.

This is not what Kabir wanted (sorry if I’m putting words into your mouth Kabir), not what any of us wanted. What you have written has absolutely nothing to do with rememberance but everything to do with your pathetic attempts to justify America’s response. Who knows? you may be right after all, but this is not the place to discuss it. Start another thread, let’s go over it again and again. You have shown great insensitivity in producing this vitriolic and whining rant in a space which was being used for contemplative expressions of sympathy for those who were lost and their families.

Sorry, Scooter, but your arrogance and insensitivity just astounds me.

America will never forget! To our friends we appricate all the support from around the world. To our enemies you would be “UNWISE” to underestimate us. Our strength and determination are never ending! We will find and punish those responsible for this tragedy. Though, I would like to take this time to apologize to my friends. My tolerance of others has been greatly effected by the events of 9/11……..Many members of my family have fought and some have died for the freedoms that I enjoy today. (and not just mine either) Many of those in Foreign Wars I mite add! My Grandfather was in the 1st World War in France. My Father in the Pacific during World War II at Okinawa. The Civil War Great Grandfathers. Even in Cuba I had a uncle with Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. Some people on this forum seem to blame the US for everything? To them my tolerance will remain low for some time. To my friends I can’t come to express my feelings of appreciation. We Americans sometimes get a big head on our shoulders and we apologizes for that but, our whole country is just one big cosmopolitan of the world. I don’t know how many of you have ever been to the States. We have German Americans, Irish Americans, Chinese Americans etc. etc. and you know what. We get along pretty well too! (I don’t see the UN doing that?) We often put our family and friends interest before our own. It just gets to much some days! Did we sacrifice nothing for 2 World Wars? Did we waste our time helping rebuild Germany and Japan after World War II? I would hope not or what kind of world are we leaving to our children? America’s children are free and so are the Children of Germany and France and so on and so on! But, what about the children of Iraq, Syria, North Korea, to name just a few? We are stronger together than we are apart! When we stand together nothing can stop us! Just think what the world could be like!!!!!One last thing. Some people like to seperate the American people from our Leaders and our Military? Wrong, we are one in the same. For those who think otherwise you are making a big mistake. HELLO! We live in a Democratic country. We pick our leaders and our leaders direct the military! So, when you insult our leaders you are in fact insulting us!!!!! Who do you think wears the uniforms of the US Military? I can tell you my Grandfathers, Fathers, Uncles, Brothers, Cousins, Friends, Neighbors, etc. In the end we can come together as friends and rid the world of the Hitlers, Tojos, and yes Saddams. Either that or one day someone bad is going to get a WMD and kill millions……….and I am sure to some it will still be Americans fault? The truth is that we are all responsible……..blaming one another is just a waste of time and helps our enemies!

For ALL those that are still hurting over the inncident known only as 9-11, it has changed more than just the American way of life. Let us not forget those from all the other countries that suffered as well, Australia lost 24 people, New Zealand 3, Japan 44, England 128 so let us all remember and do as the American leader called for “Let us show these terrorists that they can’t win, by carrying on with our lives” George W Bush

Give me coffee and no-one gets hurt!

It was a really inpresive documentary, It always hurts when Firefighters are killed in action. My father is a firefighter thats why. And I was on the WTC so it was a strange idea that the buildings are gone.
I hope the makers of the documentary winn a lot of prices.
They are the REAL heroes!!!!

RE: In memory of victims of 9/11.. please all sign!

I have just seen the documentary 9-11, the one made by the French crew. Sad to see how so many firemen have died that day, they are the heroes, not Bush, or the US military. Never thought those images of the collapsing towers still had such an impact on me, even after one year, almost seeing them daily.

Anyway, people forget very soon, and though 9-11 was a horrible day, life must go on.
