In the great tradition of the mighty Rolf Harris CAN YOU TELL WHAT IT IS YET?

As the title suggests can you tell.

and this..

there are a fair few different types of aircraft from these folks. They can be built in you r garage/lounge;) and made from a wooden fuz contoured with foam and glassfibre.

Well done to all those who said FW190.

Correct!

It was invited to do a display by one of our model pilots who met the pilot. He said would he mind if he flew over so was invited to give a display. We also have enjoyed a display by the Pitts Special and Starduster Too recently who often visit the field.

Der right about East Fortune being a local field but not my local field. We fly from Drem which is 5 mins away and a far better model flying site than EF.

Here are a couple more pics from my small digi camera which really isnt up to the job but I didnt expect to see this across my bows so in future I will carry my pentax. Dont be dissapointed with the quality I tell you this now so you will be prepared.

Given that the 190 replica has attended the Museum Of Flight airshows, and its Merlins local field, I’d reckon the probability points to the baby190

Maybe this was the Rendlesham UFO, or dust on the camera lens. I would go with the majority and say it’s an FW190 scale replica, particularly as there is one flying in Scotland now. Can’t be a T28, not nearly ugly enough.

Could it be one of those large scale flying models, maybe a FW190 or Sea Fury?

First shot had me thinking Harvard. Then I spotted vague traces of black and white on the wings, so I figured maybe the RNHF Sea Fury.

Second shot is obviously the same plane, but suddenly I’m thinking that it looks a bit too tubby to be a Sea Fury. Maybe now it’s that French-schemed Fennec from Duxford?

Now someone’s saying the WAR FW190 replica, and even that looks right, what with the big radial and the black and white traces on the wings.

What a devillish game this is!

But I’m sticking with the Fennec…

Going with the WAR FW190. Other possibilities being WAR SeaFury or Yak(11?).

I can say with one hundred percent certainty that the object in the photos is an aeroplane.;)
