Thanks Fluffy for a fantastic Thread. It’s kept me wanting more throughout the winter months and now the season is nearly upon us. So heres wishing all of you at BBMF a happy 50th year and a very memorable season.

P.S. Does AB910 sound different with her new cans and what has the Boss got to say about her?

Fluffy, she’s a beaut, top marks to Mr Denney and whoever decided on the scheme.

Happy memories of building the old Airfix(?) 1:72 as a boy. Might have to abuse the company ID card, come up and wander in!

Has GR settled in OK? A mate from the Bat bombers.

Hot damn, that looks good! 😀

Sure does! 🙂

Nice now the spinner is fitted & siamese exhausts.

Can’t wait to see her in the air.

Now all she needs is a 3 bladed Rotol prop to add to the authenticity! 😀

Cheers

Paul

I’m liking all this matt paintworkthat’s going on at Coningsby at the mo! When it wears a little, this will look better than it does now!

WRONG!

In fact its….from the Meaning of Liff

Frating Green
(adjective)
The shade of green which is supposed to make you feel comfortable in hospitals, industrious in schools and uneasy in police stations.

TT

But only succeeds in making you feel sea sick even on dry land

What are the significance of the black and red crosses, as opposed to the black and white ones, in the kill markings?

Also, is that an egg that Donald Duck is sitting on? 😮

The “78th FG Ranchero” paint job continues to take shape.
The hood is Olive Drab & the underside of it is Olive Green. That blue isn’t some strange SBD or PR blue, it’s PPG DP60LF epoxy primer, reduced & used as sealer. Door & tailgate jambs will be olive green in a couple of weeks.

The invasion stripes will each be 6in wide. That fits in prefectly with the 30in wide rear wheel arches. The rest of it will be silver with the NG/NG script on the left door.

The plan is to have the majority of the paintwork done in time for Chino in May.
I have another GT hood that will have the black/white checker pattern on the front half with the OD from the front of the scoop back… both scoops are already semi-gloss black.

I’m still toying with the idea of dummy .50cals faired into the side of each fender between the top edge & the body line…… I have a spare set of “scrap” fenders to play with:eek: :diablo: 😀

As you can see, this is the “bubble top” version, however, I could transform it into a razor-back with the addidtion of a camper shell.. 😉
