Incident closes Luton Airport

Luton Airport has been forced to shut and divert flights after a private jet overshot the runway and crashed.
A private Challenger 60 jet landing at the Bedfordshire airport just after midday overshot the runway. No-one has been reported injured.

Air crash investigators are examining the aircraft wreckage and an airport spokesman said the runway is unlikely to reopen until early evening.

Passengers intending to travel are told to contact airlines before setting out.

All flights are suspended and aircraft in the air are being diverted to Stansted in Essex and other airports.

And it got even further away.

But so as not to be in danger of suppressing debate I’ve split the other argument off to GD.

Wasnt my title was BBCs…

Yes I know. No criticism intended. 🙂

An aircraft running off the far end of the runway and becoming stuck in the mud hardly warrants ‘crash’. But what do the guys at the BBC know? They are only journalists.
