Increased terrorist threat?

Seeing as how Saddam hussein is now in custody, I was wondering whether there had been any significant increase in the level of threat expected against airliners. The reason I ask is that because with todays beautiful blue skies over the Central UK I have noticed a great deal of military activity on the airways. OK, where I live we occasionally see tankers and the odd pair of Eagles going east/west or vice versa but today I have seen several formations and pairs of aircraft mainly heading south at high altitude but on the airways. I saw a four vapour trail very reminiscent of 747/A340 at altitude which split into a loose finger four formation, and several pairs. Now I know this is not the military forum, just wondered whether or not there was any significance to it.

Of course, it could have been some sort of exercise or rotation of assets. Perhaps LN Strike Eagle might know?
