5 June 2002 : Iranian leadership has strongly rejected an Indian “unofficial request” to allow Indian fighter planes to land at Iranian air bases and use Iranian sea ports in case an India-Pakistan war breaks out.

Reliable sources have confirmed that Indian diplomats in Tehran had sent feelers to the Iranian officials in Tehran and New Delhi suggesting that if Iran would allow the use of its air and sea ports for Indian planes and ship, New Delhi would use its influence to head off an Israeli-US military and diplomatic offensive against Tehran.

The sources said that the Iranian leadership ruled out any such deal aimed against brotherly Islamic Pakistan. 🙂

The Indian designs are calculated to give Delhi a strategic upper hand in case of a war with Pakistan.

Israel has launched an orchestrated campaign against Tehran aimed at hitting its missile and nuclear program. The sources said that Tehran was also disturbed by reports that Washington had also managed to convince Moscow to further delay the technical support for Iran’s nuclear power plant.

The United States has included Iran in the axis of evil it says it is determined to wipe out.
