The Indian government wants a comittee to review the deal signed by IA on its USD$2.2 billion order with Airbus for 43 aircraft (A320 if I am not mistaken). Apparently, many in India believe the airline isn’t getting the best deal and would like to see if a better price per airframe could be made before final approval is given.
This could hurt Airbus and prove to be beneficial for Boeing if it has anything to do with what happened when Air India picked Boeing over the European manufacturer!

There should have been a review sooner, especially as now Airbus are threatening Indian Airlines to but these aircraft, or they will go to your rivals. Any airline cannot run on Indian time. Reviews should have been made alot sooner.
