The Indian NAVY aerobatic display team Sagar Pawan (See Breeze) is disbanded, as the all four Kiran Mk II jet-training planes are needed to train the fighter pilots. In fact, the team had not performed since the fatal crash during an airshow in Hyderabad, on 3 March 2010, which killed both pilots.

If they are, I’m not aware of it.

How big is the RAF now? Not big enough that they can spare a squadron of pilots on an expensive PR exercise. Would you rather have the Red Arrows entertaining people at air shows, or Harriers?
Aren’t the Red Arrows sponsored by commercial companies?

It’s called being ambassador’s to allies and inspiring the young to join up when they’re older. Not what they contribute to the defence of the realm. As a kid they were all i wanted to see, i didn’t care about the grey/green colours of other miltary aircraft. Personally, I don’t see what that comment contributed to this thread,it’s nothing to do with the Red Arrows here.

I think it’s about time the Red Arrows disbanded too. If we cannot afford to keep our Harriers, how can the RAF justify using a squadron of its best pilots as a display team? They contribute nothing to the defence of the realm, which as far as I know is meant to be the RAF’s raison d’etre, rather than providing entertainment at air shows.
