Indonesia and Egypt: Pak-fa or J-20/J-31?

Indonesia wants to jump on the 5th generation bandwagon and has invested a lot of money on the KFX stealth fighter. But it seems likely the Koreans don’t have the technological abilities or the political will to see the whole project through. Supposing it fails, Indonesia might have to consider a 5th gen from elsewhere.

Russia comes to mind as Indonesia has a good relationship with them and already operates Flankers.
But Chinese relationship is improving rapidly and they just gave China a big contract for HSR. J-20 is more comparable to Pak-fa i guess, but it might not be for export. so maybe the J-31?

And Egypt is also buying a lot too. which would better suit them?
