This is the one I have, films 60 minutes of 720 hd film and takes AA batteries – The new ones look slick, I might have to invest!

It comes with a rechargeable pack.
Spare rechargeable packs are not expensive. I keep one in the camera and one spare and have never bought an AA for it

Yes, I thought you might. Nothing to be forced to be kind about. A delightful little film which has pretty much done the job of selling it to me. That and the reviews on Amazon. It seems to be exactly what should be in his Christmas Stocking!:)

The Flip HD is a great bit of kit. You don’t say how old the Grandson is, but it is simple to operate, robust, yet turns out high quality video simply, aided by the inbuilt video editing software.
