Inflight Menu Bar in FSX

Hi all,
i’ve had FSX for a few years nows and i’ve loved it. I can’t remember how long ago it happened, but I can’t see the menu bar while flying. I press the alt key but it doesn’t appear. I can still use the arrow keys to select Change Aircraft etc but its a right pain in the you know what! I’ve tried altering the settings but it doesn’t seem to work. I also cant even use the right click menu.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Alex

Thanks Rod, that worked. I don’t know why it hadn’t previously when I tried that mind :S might just be me having a funny turn

I’ve got a dell thats about 3years old now and i have some performance issues but i can usually tweak the settings to get it running well.

You wouldnt have the links to those PC Pilot’s articles would you? Always striving to improve how the game runs on my PC.

Cheers

Glad to help.

But no, sorry. I don’t know where you can get them online.
Maybe perhaps on that new Key.aero site someday sometime in the future. (Hint hint Key, if you’re listening).

For now you may need to find the back issues somewhere. About issues 63/64 IIRC, but I don’t have them handy right now and I am not certain so don’t quote me.

IIRC you right click the current window and deselect “Hide menu bar”. HTH

I like FSX too. People get too hung up on the supposed graphics needs. If you set it up correctly it works pretty well on quite modest machines. I can get over 40 fps on my 4 year old Dell thanks to PC Pilot’s articles. That’s with Horizon’s VFR scenery and the VFR airfields too.
