Main critisism voiced:
# since April the six German EF2k at Laage AB clocked up only 130 flight hours
# that translates into one flight hour per week per aircraft
# the built-in diagnosis system behaves like befallen by CJD
# the originally projected lifetime of replaceables&rotatables was too optimistic = spares need higher than projected
# initial pilot training is again postponed from October to next spring
The Luftwaffe doesn’t directly deny the story, but says the EF2k is still going thru opeval. No word from EADS so far.
