Info Required – Lancaster LM546

I am building a large flying model of an Avro Lancaster, I have been asked to paint this to represent LM546 of 625 Squadron based at RAF Kelstern in Lincolnshire. This was the aircraft in which a friend’s father, AG Sgt Naylor, was flying when shot down. He baled out, was taken prisoner and repatriated in 1945.

Any other info on the aircraft, it’s last mission or the rest of the crew would be gratefully appreciated. Photographs I would consider a miracle but one lives in hope.

Many thanks

Steve

Jupiter – you just resurrected an 18-month old thread… 🙂

Good luck but the original posters might still be around to answer.

Can’t help much, I have odd copies of the 625 Sq. ORB from 1944, and have found Sgt. Naylor’s crew took part in the 25th July op to Stuttgart. I can send you this info if you’re interested, and also the listing from Bomber Command losses for the op on 28th July, if you don’t already have it.

hi saw your reply regarding lancaster lm546 and noted you had some spare 635 orb is still the case?As a point of interest the pilot for that aircraft was my grandfather
