info required on SBS-1 recivers

Can anybody give us some information on SBS-1 recieiver

Costs
Whats required.
What Scanner needed
Is internet connection needed
Ease of use / Set up
screen shots would be good.

so at the end on the day
Can i sit at the End on a runway with all this plugged
into a laptop and see all whats landing.

I thought this plugged into a Radio but seems not and I agree yes 499.00
is a beefy price.

Ads I have seen indicate a cost of £499. You need a PC, an external aerial will provide better results (£50-100). Internet connection may be required to update databases, but it’s not needed to operate the system, set up looks easy – attach box to PC via USB, attach aerial, install software off you go! I’m keen on this, but it seems expensive to me at the moment.

And yes you can do what you say as the system is portable – at least that’s what the ad shows.
