Information Sought On Vampire T11 markings

I am trying to locate details of the stencils that Vampire T11’s wore externally whilst in RAF service for a decal sheet I am looking to produce which features the type.

An initial request on the forum drew a bit of a blank(thank you for replying Mark V and sorry I forgot to add my thanks on the original thread).

RAF Museum have no information and neither do BAe Systems Heritage.

Can anybody help point me in the right direction please ?

Regards Martin

The only two photos of Vampire T.11’s that I took photos of date from 1952/53 and 1955 and are attached, probably not of high enough definition to help, but passed on FWIW.

This shows T.11 WZ416 at 5 FTS (RAF Thornhill, S. Rhodesia) during a sales trip to southern Africa.

This T.11 was 41 Sqn’s trainer and I photographed it at Biggin Hill in 1955.

The information will be with de Havilland Support, who have the drawings for most of the de Havilland series.

I’ve got a copy for the NF10 somewhere, which is similar, but different.

Martin,

It might be worth contacting IWM Duxford as they recently restored a very nice Vampire T11.
