Less than a week to go

Some changes
The Tunnan might not make the show as she has been on major overhaul and might not be ready.
The Tunnan might be replaced by a Hawker Hunter or the Hunter might come any way:(
The Blades are now commeing.:)
With problems with parking this year due to work takeing place they might run out of room to park every thing.
We will have to wait and see and just pitch up for a good look around on the day.
There might be more changes before wednesday we have heard the web site for the display will be up dated this weekend so keep checking
http://www.jerseyairdisplay.org.uk/
Hope we can have this weather going through till next saturday as the weather will make a good show and a good turn out.
We must not forget this show is a free one, donations are asked for the R.A.F.A as well as being able to look at the aircraft in the static display before and after the flying.:)

Looking like a good show, but then with some of the aircraft featured I am rather biased! Will be good to see LY-BIG again, probably my favourite non classic flight aircraft!

Dragon Rapide G-AGTM is confirmed (and yes, we will be turning up this year) for pleasure flying from the Aero Club at Jersey airport from the 11th-15th September inclusive. Flights take you around Corbiere lighthouse as far as Elizabeth Castle, giving passengers a similar perspective on the island to the crews in the display.

I will be there at the Aero Club from Monday afternoon until Saturday afternoon. We will be flying passengers from Tuesday morning until Saturday, stopping only when the display is on, on Thrusday.

Do come and say hello!

Will

As always, the Em.195’s appearance is subject to serviceability. :diablo:

From someone I know at FlyMayBe, they took one to Le Bourget earlier this year and guess what, it broke down !!!!

That’s a pretty good participants list. I’m disappointed that I can’t get there this year, but look forward to seeing the tin triangle next year and casting my mind back a year to Sept 07 and Hairyplane eating his serving of jellied eels.

From what I understand some of the commercial aircraft will be open for viewing on the static line like the BMI Airbus and the Flybe EMB195 so things are looking good also the DC6 is going to be something to see from what I can make out.

Apart from the DC6, I wouldn’t say the inclusion of an Airbus and EMB195 was in the slightest bit interesting.

Updates

The Dove is out of the programme now but in its place is the Junkers JU52 from France.
Not a bad replacement I would think?
Before the show starts there will be some more changes.

An update

The updated list is now available and there is certainly an eclectic list of participants for the 2007 show on September 13th, but no Vulcan. Judging by the first participant list that was published back in July, the inclusion of the Vulcan would have meant that 7 other aircraft may not have been present.

Ironically the organisers were on local TV the other evening saying that this years show will have a short fall of £30k, and that unless further sponsorship can be found the show would probably not go ahead next year.

Two days later in the local paper they were jumping up and down celebrating because they have booked the Vulcan for next year.

Seems like the department of misinformation has been hard at work.

given the condition of Heron G-AORG when I saw her at Air Atlantique’s open day yesterday I think they must be being just alittle hopeful to have her flying by september…’september what year?’ might be better!:(
