Hi – I’ve only recently joined the forum and this is my first post. So please be gentle 🙂
Pictures were taken in September while in Victoria visiting family. Not as good as most pics on here but thought they may add something a bit different.

So just what is the fare from YVR to Victoria? The harbour-harbour fare was about CAD126 each way which made a return flight about £120. I’ve no doubt Ryanair Canada 😮 would be cheaper but I didn’t think it was too bad for a city centre-city centre service.
I paid CAN 370 return from Vancouver International to Victoria with Air Canada.

Know what you mean about the cost of airfare from Vancouver to Victoria, very expensive,

That was a good read. We flew into Vancouver on a MyTravel A330-200 (the one with downstairs loos) from Gatwick. The flight wasn’t full each way so we had 3 seats each to sprawl out on. 😀
The connection to Victoria was with Air Canada Jazz on a Dash-8. 15 mins in the air and cost nearly as much as the flight from Gatwick to Vancouver!!
Ah yes, the illogicability of air fares  Our trip to YVR was also on an A330-200, only ours was an Air Transat example. No downstairs bogs. This was a shame as putting the toilets downstairs might have given us a bit more space in the cabin. I could just about take the nine abreast configuration and subsequently narrow seats but the seat pitch couldn’t have been more than 30″. It was a bit like spending nine hours in a barrel
There was more room in the floatplanes. 🙂

Know what you mean about the cost of airfare from Vancouver to Victoria, very expensive, I flew out on the last connection of the day which was this aircraft
and back on this one
the harbour is just awesome for floatplanes!

Thanks for those pics – brought back memories of the summer when I flew into and out of that very harbour. You might want to have a look at this thread which detailed my trip:

Terrible shots, just terrible!
… Only joking! One thing you’ll find on this forum is that it’s always nice to see something a little out of the ordinary from somewhere that maybe isn’t quite as well covered by members here, and these are certainly different! Very nice images, and I just love the first one. Superb!
Anyway, thanks for sharing your work and welcome to the forum. Hopefully this post will be the first of many!

Nothing wrong with these pictures whatsoever. 🙂
Very interesting subject matter, as well.
Welcome aboard!

WOW! SEAPLANES!:D
What a fantastic set of shots to introduce yourself with.
I was in Vancouver last year and my hotel was really close to the Harbour Air terminal…
It is unfortunate I was only there for two days, as I would of just stayed in my hotel room all day to watch these beauties!
I look forward to seeing more soon, and welcome to the forum!

Some nice shots mate; I was in Victoria in June, what a great place for amphibious aircraft, just fantastic. Post some more if you can!
All the best
