'Inside the Spitfire' – Science Museum

The ‘Inside the Spitfire’ exhibition at the Science Museum, London, opened to the public yesterday.

Attached is a press cutting from today’s Times newspaper.

Jagan, what can you tell us of S/L Mahinder Singh Puiji?

Though not an expert, those flying goggles, with their centre adjustment bracketry, look more like ‘Stadium’ modern replicas, rather than the old Mk VIII’s, surplussed and beloved by young motorcyclists of the 1950’s. 🙂

Cool,i might go in a week or so, not much to do during the summer and i can get the bus to Leicester then a train direct to Leicester, would make an interesting day out and if i get the chance could go to IWM London as well depending on how busy the Tube is.

According to the cutting, ‘until January 2007’ it seems it will be around for a long time yet…

Well worth the trip I think.
