Look like it had a raised inner area also nicely numbered and marked in paint on inside , any ideas?

is the painted serial traceable S? 704 perhaps SI 704?

The numbering and stainless steel construction look American. the aviationarchaeology.com database has ’81’ as P40. Could be an RAF Tomahawk, there were plenty over here.

There are another two numbers that are difficult to see but both begin DR ………….
