In another thread the question of adapter plates came up. These are usually as the name implies a plate to adapt one model of instrument for another. Typically when a new model instrument was substituted for an earlier one that was smaller, a plate was need to fit between the original mounting holes in the instrument panel and new instrument.
Does anyone have drawings for these adapters?
Here is a list of adapters that I know of:
6A/447 Fits a MK9? to where a MK5? was
6A/572 ?
6A/619 Mk3 clock
6A/700 For fitting a Mk3 boast gauge where a Mk 2 was
6A/859 ?
6A/1029 For use when fuel pressure warning light Mk1A is substituted for Mk8 fuel pressure gauge.
6A/1060 For use when replacing Mk3 clocks for Mk2
6A/1246 Required when clocks type 133-01 (106A/322)(Mk 4) are fitted in lieu of Mk2 types
6A/1247 Required when installing Mk 4 clock in lieu of Mk 3
I know of more but my database has become corrupted and I would need to confirm the data before posting the information.
If you have a drawing or know of more adapters please post details

Thank you. They make perfect sense now that I can read the description.
Interestingly, those that I possess only have 2 captive nuts at opposing corners presumably as a matter of economy of resources.

I have started to digitize the numerous documents I have, so I can find things when I am looking for info I know I have!!
I came across the description of the mounting plates for which you were asking about.

NL1395 series clock to A-13A adapter plate
I knew I had a drawing of an adapter plate somewhere.
This is a drawing from 1975 showing the adapter plate required to convert an instrument panel with a NL1395 series clock to the A-13A type.

I have 6A/995 as being a Instrument mounting plate ,Type A and 6A/996 as being a Instrument mounting plate ,Type B.
The type A is for 2.5″ instruments and the type B for 3.75″ instruments. (I suspect that this should read 3.25″)

I have the following adaptors but no idea of their uses: –
6A/995 ?
6A/996 ?
I have another that looks like it may be made by a fitter – there are no references present. The main hole in the centre is 3.25″
