Hello
Does anyone have any surplus fluorescent instruments for sale?
I have an original BFP and am looking to fill the six holes!
Instruments do not have to be serviceable but ideally will be wartime dated and have complete cases.
Please PM with any items that you have spare.
Thank you in advance.

I think if you had another spare genuine blind flying panel you could just about swap for the whole set of six instruments! Most are reasonably easy to get on evilbay and from some flypast members, however the Turn/Slip and the Altimeter command fairly high prices. You might need the spacers that distance some instruments so they end up flush with the front of the panel as well.

Have all you need in luminous but you would have great trouble trying to get them transported from NZ to the UK. “VERY DANGEROUS RADIATION” don’t you know. I have been flying in front of (or that may be behind of) Luminous flight instruments for the last 57 years and it doesn’t seem to have done me too much harm. As an aside I understand that one may only peer in through the rear crew door of the MOTAT Lancaster because of the DANGEROUS radiation from those dreadful instruments up front. Elf n safe tea????? Gawd help us all.

Not all wartime instruments were luminous, you should still be able to fill it with representative instruments.
Sort out what you want and then keep an eye out at aerojumbles and evilbay.

The panel is the early war 6A/616 rectangle so would have been fitted with luminous instruments so not really worried about the marks etc.
Thanks

What marks of what do you want -or just a set of basic Six?
