Well heres a couple of pics of the latest addition to the collection, a nose gear door from a F18 fighter. It has some slight cracks/ damage from mishandling or landing accident and before anyone asks it is a damaged unit and cant be used for flight;) Notice the “anchor” image? Is this some sort of Navy emblem for fighters or something? It is barely visible and looks like it was either worn off or removed and left a ghost image of itself.
Another odditiy about this is why are there no part numbers or stamps ANYWHERE???

I wondered about that. I know this cant be off of a cf18 as it is white overall with red edges on the inside so i guess it is usn?
