One of the fun parts of my volunteer role as Secretary is to visit people who have questions about relics, models and the like that may have been left to them by family members. Last night was no exception. I was looking a a spectacular set of aircraft models and then spotted this on the wall. Good to know certain things are still surviving even now – A friend just landed me a set of Beaufighter wing panels that were being used as a wall in a dairy farm, and they are in pretty god condition 🙂

Ewan
Great Picture
Any idea where the 45 Sqn Fairey IIIF Fabric originally came from ?
Is there any link from owners family to the Sqn at the time ??
I assume it was liberated from a crashed example and I was wondering if I could ID it ?

I wouldn’t mind seeing some pics of the spectacular set of aircraft models too if you can manage it.

Fantastic, and what a wonderful way to display them!
I’m very interested to see the Beau wing panels. Any photos of them?
I will get some pics up here as soon as I have collected them in a couple of weeks

Very nice display. I think anything to do with the Fairey IIIF is going to be rare and worth seeing!
